Description:
The Jacobin Pigeon is a regal looking bird that looks like it has been wrapped in a frilly feathered head scarf. They have a 5-6 inch hood of long feathers that from the back view starts at the shoulders and stands taller than the head, hiding the head completely. This hood has a definite center and circles towards the head. From the front the hood should encase the head a tightly.
Appearance:
The body is tall with long wings.
The legs are well hidden under thick feathers.
Colors: The beak is short. Several colors are available including white, yellow, blue, and silver. Two toned colored birds are referred to as “splash” color
Diet:
Good quality grain is a clean grain with low moisture content.
